A Denver PR firm held a logo contest to start branding the Ballpark Neighborhood near Coors Field (home of the Colorado Rockies). Much of downtown is full of distinct architecture, including the ballpark, and the approach of using architecture in logos is overdone. So I felt that baseballs should be the fruit on the trees of this neighborhood — a game of catch is just a pluck away. Unfortunately, this mark is unpublished due to losing out to what seemed to be clip art of “anytown USA” — void of any Denver or baseball references. Though I took 2nd, I’m satisfied that the branding efforts never took place.
